I'm over 50 yrs old, got a call and a mailer, said my annuity had matured, young well dressed male appears at my door earlier than time scheduled, introduces himself as a broker, his own company "National American Insurance", informs me, he can prove that my Financial Planner is stealing from me. I am a recovering mentally from a head injury - bottom line he wants to review my IRA; says he can do more of a financial return for me than my current financial plannner. Advises me not to contact him. I showed this guy my paperwork? Should I contact my financial planner, better business representative? I'm scared - afraid of scams.
National American Insurance is this a legal and bonded company?
i would not show him anything, he contacted you, you didnt contact him, i would also call my financial advisor and the BBB!!

Reply:Go to your planner. Never talk to anyone that seeks you on this matter. Be strong, because they have a helluva pitch and are adept at scarring people into the deal. If you are happy with your guy stay, if not, shop. Your money is better off in a sock than with those who come to your door un-invited.
